Warby Parker and New York-based brand Theophilio have unveiled their bold new sunglasses, Shaunie. This collaboration draws inspiration from Theophilio designer Edvin Thompson’s childhood in Jamaica, where fruit trees adorned his backyard.

The Shaunie line features three vibrant colorways: Shade, a sophisticated grey and black combination; Lemon Slice, a bright yellow and orange shade; and Sorrel, a striking green and red mix. This collab complements Warby Parker’s summer collection, adding vibrant, statement-making sunglasses perfect for the sunny season.

Starting at $145, each pair of these wide-frame sunglasses is crafted by layering opaque acetate over a crystal shade and then carving it away to create an organic futuristic outline. This innovative design process produces a unique, eye-catching look that blends influences from the 70s and 2000s.

“These sunglasses are like a memoir for me. I see my adolescence and my parents in them, but I also see the shape of things still to come. This collaboration is about where I’m from as a designer and where I’m going next,” Edvin Thompson shares, reflecting on the personal significance.CategoriesShoppingAccessoriesTagscollaborationseyewear
